These are views of the 30 inch newtonian located at our Chews Ridge Observatory. It is approximately 30 miles southeast of Monterey in the mountains at an elevation of 4,000 feet. The skies are very dark and still. As noted earlier, however, due to the fact that we do not own this land, it was decided to move to the Mercey Hot Sprinsg area, about 50 miles east.
